Encouraging Message:
Community is one of the greatest gifts of life.
Finding a group of people who you can walk through this human experience with—finding tribe—is unparalleled. Ideally, the people in your inner circle are those that you can trust, those who help uplift and support you through life’s ups and downs. They are those who give you heartfelt insights and opinions, but who ultimately continue to remind you to turn inward, to tune into your own inner guidance system and trust in yourself.
These are all beautiful qualities that people within a conscious community naturally gravitate towards as they seek a more love-centered life. And because none of us are perfect, and we all experience the full colorful spectrum of emotions, sometimes conflicts arise. In those moments it's important to remember that we can work through anything. We can give each other space to feel what we are feeling, to express it all honestly, and then we can forgive each other, and make adjustments as necessary.
Relationships are not always easy, and sometimes our most difficult friends or family members are our greatest teachers. Though being vulnerable with each other can be challenging, life is better together. As humans, we act as mirrors—reflecting back to one another and allowing each other to see ourselves in greater clarity. Through our relationships, we help each other grow.
Whether you are surrounded by your “ideal tribe” or by people who you feel don’t necessarily support your growth anymore, look around at what you've got and be grateful for it. No matter what types of people you have around you, they are serving a purpose in your life in some way, even if it's just to teach you a lesson. If the ones around you no longer feel like a healthy match, you are always free to make a change—let go and open up some space for a better-feeling community to enter your life.
No matter what, you are going to have ups and downs—riding the waves of life—and how cool is it that you get to choose who rides those waves with you! Again, if you look around and don’t like what you see, or maybe you feel completely alone, good news is you can start calling in your ideal tribe at any time. In this moment, start imagining the qualities of the people you want by your side.
The more you connect with this vision, the sooner your inner circle will find you. You can even use visualization to improve your current relationships, resolve conflict etc.—using your thoughts and emotions. In setting more love-filled intentions, you can better navigate your connections with others, and that leads to a much smoother ride.
Reflective Prompts:
-
What are the qualities of my “ideal tribe”? (How do we think and feel about one another, and how do we speak and act towards each other?)
-
Is there anyone that I can forgive right now? (I know that in doing so, I'm actually giving a gift to myself by releasing this burden I’ve been holding onto)
-
Is there anything I can forgive myself for right now? (I know that my relationship with myself is reflected in my relationship with others)
-
Is there anyone I need to let go of, or any boundaries I need to set?
-
How can I show more appreciation to the people in my life this week?
Closing:
Relationships can be messy and challenging, but they are also incredibly rewarding. Life is better when shared, and we are all just doing our best to navigate through this wild experience, teaching each other meaningful lessons along the way. Show gratitude towards the people in your life today, for whatever you put out is always reflected back.
