⟁ Bring Your Dreams to Life

I’m a dreamer—with a wild imagination.

As kids we dream freely, exploring and expressing the biggest desires of our hearts with no shame. As we get older, most of us adopt a more mature, practical way of thinking—we're told that growing up means we must think logically, settle for what we have, be grateful, and just accept life the way it is.

We're taught to go to school, find a job, work hard, save up for little vacations and rewards here and there, but mostly just be at a job for our whole lives—slaving away just to meet our survival needs, and this is considered normal because everyone’s doing it. If you complain, you're seen as weak—while strong, compliant work ethic is highly honored. As adults, we get consumed with this relentless cycle that has become our daily lives, and we lose hope in the dreams we once had as children.

Dreaming is silly, immature, stupid, disheartening, and disappointing—what’s the point in wishing and hoping for a better life when this is just the way it is?

Like I said, I’ve always been a dreamer, and I’ve always known I was different. I've definitely been through seasons of grueling work (for most of my life, actually)—endless hours put into different jobs just to be able to afford my living space, food, and basic needs. Deep down though, I always knew that it was possible for me to create my dream life—I just had to figure out how.

A few years ago, I got introduced to the concept of conscious manifestation—intentionally creating your desired outcome. I found many teachers on the subject, and among the most memorable ones I’ve found is Neville Goddard—a writer, speaker, and mystic who taught about the Law of Assumption. This principle states that imagination creates reality, and the assumptions (thoughts and beliefs) we hold about something and persist with, will eventually harden into fact—therefore expressing themselves as real in our physical world.

Goddard had many amazing quotes, but one of my favorites is, “you must assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled until your assumption has all the sensory vividness of reality. You must imagine that you are already experiencing what you desire. That is, you must assume the feeling of fulfillment of your desire until you are possessed by it and this feeling crowds all other ideas out of your consciousness.” Basically he's saying if you do this, continue to connect with your desire over and over again, making it feel so undeniably real to you, it will show up right before your eyes. Pretty epic, right?

I’ve studied the art of manifestation extensively for the last few years, and I’ve been practicing it in order to attain various things in my life. Through several of my favorite methods like scripting, visualizing and affirming, I’ve been able to call in some beautiful experiences. I manifested a work exchange on a fruit farm in a tropical jungle (having moved to Maui from Maine), I manifested my partner, the rescue of my lost dog, a tiny home with a beach front view, a hiking waterfall tour guide job, piles of money, and an amazing business coach—just to name a few.

There are millions of teachings and success stories out there that prove that manifestation is real and that we really can “have, do, or be anything we want in this life” (Abraham Hicks). For me, it’s always fun and inspiring to hear other peoples’ stories because sometimes it’s easy to forget that anything is possible, and I know that for me at least, it helps to have extra reminders.

The journey of creating my dream reality is always evolving. I’m always growing my understanding of what manifestation is and I’m always practicing new ways to call in my desires. My desires are always expanding too—it’s like as soon as I get what I want, I feel a profound wave of gratitude and bliss, and then I start to dream again. We’re always expanding and evolving—that’s are nature.

At the moment, I have some pretty big desires I'm calling in—they are on their way! I'm just so thankful as I think about how I get to create my dreams for the rest of my life, and experience the journey of it all unfolding before my eyes. It really is an amazing opportunity we have—once we learn to harness it, let the fun begin.

As I’m writing this, I recognize that I'm barely scratching the surface on the art of bringing your dreams to life. There is a whole entire universe to explore on the subject, but just know that you are already a master at manifestation (even if you don’t realize it). You’re already manifesting everything you see around you—your outer world is already being reflected by what is on the inside (your thoughts and emotions). Realizing this is the first step, and becoming aware that you can change what you see. You no longer have to create unconsciously—you can change the script of your story to match what you truly long for. Your wildest dreams are waiting for you—your greatest desires want you too.

So what is it that you want to create? Get really clear on that (you can have absolutely anything), and then start connecting with this vision over and over again. When you do this, know that you are not trying to change anything in this reality—you are shifting to a new reality where you already have what you want, because it is all already done.

This may be challenging for your mind to grasp at first, but just know that your inner being already knows how to do this, and you don’t necessarily have to understand how it all works. Just focus on giving yourself permission to have what you really want.

Rediscover that sense of inner wonder—reawaken your wild imagination. You do not have to continue conforming to a life you hate, or settling for an outdated story that is not meant for you. Claim your desires as already yours, and then radically enjoy the receiving of it all.

Note From Me:

*As I reflect back on experiences I’ve had throughout my life, I find that it brings me great joy to put them into words - to voice what I’ve been through, and to also express any insights learned from each one. Sharing stories seems to satisfy this inner yearning to leave my mark - and at the very least, it always leaves me feeling lighter and more true to myself. So that is why I write, and my intention is to uplift, entertain, and maybe even inspire others to share their own experiences with the world. We all have a story.
